Helen also qualified from Bristol in 1993 and began her career at Golden Valley Veterinary Hospital in Nailsea in mixed practice. She married Richard in 1994 and then stopped full time work to start their family in 1997; she has been fortunate to be able to continue doing part time work ever since in various roles mainly in the Portishead practice. Good at ‘juggling’, she managed to follow her long time interest and qualify as a homeopath in 2006 after many years of part time study, and now uses this alongside acupuncture and a keen interest in nutrition to offer patients a broader and more holistic style of veterinary care. Since January 2014 Helen has been working at Green Pastures Veterinary Centre in Weston Super Mare and hopes that this relationship will continue to blossom as we join them in providing a 24hour service based at the Green Pastures practice.
Outside of work Helen enjoys cooking well for the family and anyone else who approaches, she is a Brownie leader and also sings in the local community choir.
