Following a 6 month trial period offering a choice of emergency out of hour’s provision, a big majority have chosen to use Vale Vets in Portishead rather than Green Pastures in Worle, mainly due to its geographic convenience.
We have therefore decided, from 1st January 2018, to use Vale Vets as our sole emergency out of hour’s provider. From 1st January, should you have a veterinary emergency outside normal working hours, you should phone Community Vets normal number 01275 373086 and you will be automatically transferred to Vale Vets. (Please note that up to 31st Decemeber 2017 you will be transfered to Green Patures).
We are aware that there are a few Community Vets clients who have expressed their desire to continue to use Green Pastures in case of emergencies. We have discussed this with Green Pastures who are happy for this small group to be registered as a Green Pastures client (as well as a Community Vets client) which would then allow you to phone Green Pastures directly if emergency care is needed out of hours.
